Our Iron Fit leggings feature a 0.75 inch elastic for a slide-resistant fit at the waist, a front gusset, and proportionally roomier thighs and calves for muscular body types.

Our Sackville leggings are based on the field garniture of Thomas Sackville, 1st Earl of Dorset. A beautiful armor currently part of The Wallace Collection, it bears significant resemblance to the armor of Sir James Scudamore but for its blued steel: both armors were crafted in the Greenwich Royal Armories under the supervision of master armorer Jacob Halder.

Thomas Sackville himself was a man of somewhat questionable politics: he was a great advocate of "sumptuary laws," which is to say laws that only permitted fancy people to wear fancy things (for example, he dictated that only soldiers holding the rank of colonel or above should be permitted to wear silk and velvet). I get a special kick out of adapting his armor for all of us plebeians.

Shipping

We believe in "slow fashion" to reduce waste from mass production, so many of our garments are made-to-order, and we often keep little in stock. Please allow 3-5 weeks for shipment of your items with that in mind!

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS: rates will vary based on selected service, package weight, and location (we ship from Potomac, MD). Sales tax of 6% will be charged for orders shipped to Maryland.

International orders are shipped via USPS International in combination with your local postal service. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT taxes, and any other applicable taxes, fees, or actions required In your country to receive your goodies.

Returns

Domestic returns are free! We offer returns within 30 days of receipt of your goodies. We can't offer exchanges, unfortunately, but you are welcome to initiate a return and repurchase another pair in the correct size or style.

If you wish to return any unworn and unwashed items, please contact info@loricaclothing.com to receive a prepaid return label. International orders should still contact info@loricaclothing.com for a return address, but unfortunately we cannot cover return postage for customers outside of the US.
