Our Henry VIII design is based on the field armor of the notorious king of England, a piece currently on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. This intricately designed suit was crafted for the king late in his life (what I like to call his “fat Elvis” period), which he wore into battle during his last military campaign despite his infirmities at the time. But you can get all of the artistry without any of the gout in our take on this beautiful armor. 😉

Domestic returns are free! We offer returns within 30 days of receipt of your goodies. We can't offer exchanges, unfortunately, but you are welcome to initiate a return and repurchase another pair in the correct size or style.

I love this dress! It looks and feels great. I usually wear a US 14 and got the XL in Knife length, and it fits perfectly. It's a flirty length, so if you're nervous about your booty showing, you may want to go longer, but I wear bike shorts underneath my dresses anyway.
I desperately wanted to order something from Lorica but cringed at the price a bit. I couldn't justify that much for a pair of leggings, but a DRESS?! Oh, yes, I can justify THAT! So I bought one if these, and I absolutely LOVE it!! It is very comfortable. There's a little flaring on the chest around the arm holes, but that might just be how I'm shaped. Even when stretched, the pattern looks even & very good. The fabric breathes, making this my summer go-to for any gathering.
I've worn it to a gathering of nerdy friends, who all recognized that it's armor, but didn't know it was based on a real, historical set of armor. Much geeking ensued. I have had to bookmark this page on my phone so I can pull it up to show people. In fact, I literally had a friend call today to ask for the link. He was visiting his SO's family & had mentioned it to them. (The phone call is actually what prompted me to write a review)
AND IT HAS POCKETS, which delights everybody (my guy friends understand the struggle).
Of course, given how much I love this dress, I am finding it harder to talk myself out of getting some of those amazing leggings.... next time I have some extra money, I am getting some!
I fit comfortably in the XL Lance dress and it gave me an instant confidence boost. It's light for the summer but also appropriate for the fall/winter.
The print is also really well done. Even over my chest, the dress fits comfortably so the armor print didn’t look warped or stretched.

This dress is fierce! I never thought that I could wear something that makes me feel so powerful, confident, and feminine at the same time. The upper half of the dress is form-fitting while the bottom is delightfully swishy! Without a doubt, my favorite thing about the dress is watching the tassets sway around my legs. I am 5'2" with a 33" waist, and the dress (large) fits so well that I don't feel the need to suck in my belly even a little. The detail is gorgeous; however, on my dress, the top is slightly misaligned to the skirt and makes the plackart look folded in. Overall, a lovely dress that I recommend for any adventure!
