Our Henry VIII design is based on the field armor of the notorious king of England, a piece currently on view at The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. This intricately designed suit was crafted for the king late in his life (what I like to call his “fat Elvis” period), which he wore into battle during his last military campaign despite his infirmities at the time. But you can get all of the artistry without any of the gout in our take on this beautiful armor. 😉

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS: rates will vary based on selected service, package weight, and location (we ship from Potomac, MD). Sales tax of 6% will be charged for orders shipped to Maryland.
International orders are shipped via USPS International in combination with your local postal service. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT taxes, and any other applicable taxes, fees, or actions required In your country to receive your goodies.
Domestic returns are free! We offer returns within 30 days of receipt of your goodies. We can't offer exchanges, unfortunately, but you are welcome to initiate a return and repurchase another pair in the correct size or style.

I have been wearing this dress for my HEMA classes regularly for about 18 months. Its still in great shape. Our studio is warm in the summer so I want something light weight and flexible that doesn't restrict any motion. It needs to fit comfortably under fencing gear. I love the dress because its so flattering and I wear the maille shorts underneath. I get endless compliments on the outfit too.
I love these skater type dresses. This one is cut a lil differently. I ordered the longest length and I’m still worried my dump truck will stick out so I wear bike shirts under. The pockets make the dress stick out oddly. It’s a nice dress. But the cut just didn’t really flatter my body.
I love this dress! It looks and feels great. I usually wear a US 14 and got the XL in Knife length, and it fits perfectly. It's a flirty length, so if you're nervous about your booty showing, you may want to go longer, but I wear bike shorts underneath my dresses anyway.
I desperately wanted to order something from Lorica but cringed at the price a bit. I couldn't justify that much for a pair of leggings, but a DRESS?! Oh, yes, I can justify THAT! So I bought one if these, and I absolutely LOVE it!! It is very comfortable. There's a little flaring on the chest around the arm holes, but that might just be how I'm shaped. Even when stretched, the pattern looks even & very good. The fabric breathes, making this my summer go-to for any gathering.
I've worn it to a gathering of nerdy friends, who all recognized that it's armor, but didn't know it was based on a real, historical set of armor. Much geeking ensued. I have had to bookmark this page on my phone so I can pull it up to show people. In fact, I literally had a friend call today to ask for the link. He was visiting his SO's family & had mentioned it to them. (The phone call is actually what prompted me to write a review)
AND IT HAS POCKETS, which delights everybody (my guy friends understand the struggle).
Of course, given how much I love this dress, I am finding it harder to talk myself out of getting some of those amazing leggings.... next time I have some extra money, I am getting some!
I fit comfortably in the XL Lance dress and it gave me an instant confidence boost. It's light for the summer but also appropriate for the fall/winter.
The print is also really well done. Even over my chest, the dress fits comfortably so the armor print didn’t look warped or stretched.
I highly recommend this dress for the print, fit, and style.
