Our Scudamore leggings are based on the field armor of Sir James Scudamore, currently on view at the The Metropolitan Museum of Art, New York. Sir James was a prominent Elizabethan soldier, courtier, and enthusiastic jouster; he was praised in Edmund Spenser’s Faerie Queene (published 1596) as an example of chivalry personified. Channel knightly nobility in our take on this gorgeous armor!

Shipping

We believe in "slow fashion" to reduce waste from mass production, so many of our garments are made-to-order, and we often keep little in stock. Please allow 3-5 weeks for shipment of your items with that in mind!

Domestic orders are shipped via USPS: rates will vary based on selected service, package weight, and location (we ship from Potomac, MD). Sales tax of 6% will be charged for orders shipped to Maryland.

International orders are shipped via USPS International in combination with your local postal service. International customers are responsible for all customs duties, VAT taxes, and any other applicable taxes, fees, or actions required In your country to receive your goodies.

Returns

Domestic returns are free! We offer returns within 30 days of receipt of your goodies. We can't offer exchanges, unfortunately, but you are welcome to initiate a return and repurchase another pair in the correct size or style.

If you wish to return any unworn and unwashed items, please contact info@loricaclothing.com to receive a prepaid return label. International orders should still contact info@loricaclothing.com for a return address, but unfortunately we cannot cover return postage for customers outside of the US. Love, love, love!

I'm an armored fighter in a medieval recreation organization. For years I wore sweat pants, compression tights, etc., as a base layer to protect my legs from incidental scrapes, digs, tears, etc., from the metal and buckles of the leg armor worn in combat.

I saw the kickstarter for Lorica Clothing and knew right away this was going to be a winner. As a result I know own two different pair of leggings, these being my first and most worn pair.

They are completely functional in protecting my legs from incidental injury by the armor itself and look absolutely smashing before putting on the armor and after taking it off. Many, many comments have been made over the year or so that I've been wearing them.

I highly recommend these leggings for whatever purpose you may have in mind. The material is durable and breathable, the fit and finish is impeccable and they wear beautifully. I thoroughly enjoy "going Medieval" in my Lorica leggings!
